In the state of California, there are so many Multiple Listing Services that it would be nearly impossible to list them all. Some California MLS systems have a few hundred broker-members, while others have tens of thousands of members located within the state of California and other cities around the country. While the Southern California MLS or SoCal MLS covers nearly all of Southern California, cities or entire regions such as Bakersfield, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego also have alternate MLS systems.
The Multiple Listing Service of Bakersfield is the official Multiple Listing Service of the Bakersfield Association of REALTORS. So what is the Bakersfield MLS and how does it work?
In simple terms, the Multiple Listing Service of Bakersfield and SoCal MLS are databases of homes for sale in the Le Grand area. While the MLS® trademark is owned by the Canada Real Estate Association (CREA) -- as is the REALTOR® trademark -- MLS systems across the country are typically set up as separate corporations.
